BUNGY JUMPING

Bungy Jumping is one of the most exhilarating experiences possible.

After making my first jump several years ago I was completely hooked and have now jumped in France, the UK, New Zealand and Switzerland from both bridges and a crane.

I fully recommend jumping with A.J. Hackett, a bungy jumping company named after it's founder. I have personally met A.J. who, as well as being an extremely friendly guy, has also made several famous jumps (from the Eiffel Tower, cable cars, helecopters...) and is largely responsible for commercial bungy jumping.

The safety record and professionalism of the staff is second to none and the majority of my jumps have been with this company.

The pictures here were taken in April 1996 when I made a couple of jumps into Skippers Canyon near Queenstown in New Zealand. The height of the jump is 71m and the excellent photographs were taken by the Bungy crew.
The journey to the bridge is an experience in itself; a three quarter of an hour ride in a 4 wheel drive vehicle going extremely close to the edge of the canyon. Normal vehicles are not even insured to use this road!

Some friends of mine have set up the DANGERLESS AERIAL SPORTS CLUB which arranges many trips to go bungy jumping and do other similar activities. I have recently done a couple of 620ft (170m) jumps in Switzerland on trips organised by them :-
