Leukerbad
This small town in the Swiss Alps is at the bottom of a cable car that rises 1km into the nearby
mountains. This cable car is used primarily for tourism and snow sports but for a few days a year
is taken over for bungy jumping. At the jump point there is a 300m vertical drop from the cable
car to the ground and with several long bungy ropes connected end to end, this allows one of the biggest
bungy jumps in the world with a freefall of 9 seconds (+ a few more seconds slowing down)! There is also a fantastic view, which can be enjoyed even
more after the jump, hanging by your ankles waiting for the winch cable...
